Competitive Cheer

All-star cheer — tumbling, stunting, flying

Our Competitive Cheer program is built on the skill levels and age grid of Cheer Sport Canada and BC Cheer Sport. This is a National Sport, so it's treated as a competitive sport rather than an art — team mentality is crucial and attendance is of the utmost importance.

It's ideal for athletes who are passionate about cheer and eager to push their boundaries, develop their technique, and reach their highest potential.

Key features

  • Intensive training in tumbling, stunting, flying and full cheer-sport routines.
  • Performance opportunities — 2–3 competitions a year on Vancouver Island and the lower mainland (attendance mandatory).
  • Professional instruction — coaches certified with BC Cheer Sport and NCCP.
  • A supportive, motivated team environment that strives for excellence.

Ideal for

Committed athletes ready for competitive, all-star cheer.

Please note: competitive participation involves additional costs (competition entries, costumes, choreography and travel). Full details are shared during registration.

About All Star Cheer

The competitive club stream

All Star Cheer is the competitive club stream of cheerleading. Athletes train as a team throughout the season to prepare routines for competitions at the local, provincial, national and potentially international level. It’s ideal for athletes who want a greater challenge, enjoy competition, and are ready to make a larger commitment to their sport.

Training focuses on developing athletes in all areas of cheerleading, including:

  • Tumbling
  • Stunting
  • Jumps
  • Dance
  • Flexibility
  • Strength and conditioning
  • Body positions
  • Performance quality
  • Teamwork and timing
  • Safe progression of skills

All Star is divided into age divisions and skill levels. The level indicates the difficulty of skills permitted within the routine, while the age division helps ensure athletes compete in an age-appropriate category, providing safe progression as athletes develop increasingly complex skills.
